I wish there was a better new needle and seat. About half of them don’t do well. I know I’m not the only one that has trouble.
I do a good number of carbs and they jut don’t seat and want to tend to leak.
Sorry, Just venting …..

Hello, ethanol fuel tends to effect the material on viton tips also cars that have rubber fuel lines and accelerator pumps and fuel pump and adversely effected with the alcohol in ethanol.Try to use non ethanol if possible. I worked on a pre war Buick the was running extremely rich, took carburetor apart and the viton tip was almost non existent, lots of small pieces rubber from fuel in bottom of carb too, ethanol fuel was used.

I'm not a fan, but, thats what the man asked. I prefer the Grose valve.

I am piling on, but I have had the Viton tipped ones stick - once in a July 4th parade a few years ago. I use something else now.

I have one in my car and it works just fine. I never turn the fuel off and have no leakage whatsoever. I guess some are better than others.

It's kind of a shame that we have to buy a handful of some things just to get one or two good ones. Cases in point, the 32/50 headlight bulbs and needle/seat valves.

Some vendors sell flow-tested jets, and I know they are a bit more expensive than the ones that come untested. How much more expensive would it be for a vendor to test a valve before we buy it?

I know that dirt, rust and ethanol contribute to leaking once we install them, but it would be nice to know that we got a good one to start with.
