Default Need help on Decoding Data Plate 1963 Galaxie

I need some help here from guys that might have experience decoding VIN and Data Plate. Here's what I have.
1963 1/2 Ford Galaxie Red , 2dr hardtop , fastback roof line.
Car now has a small block , 289 with auto transmission.
Engine/trans may have been swapped out years ago, current owner has no knowledge of what occurred before he owned it.

Data plate shows VIN number as 3G660213835.
Top line reads:
63B J 95 26G 32 4 4

Not sure what the original engine would have been ?

I have a text message with a picture of this data plate attached.
Thanks for any help.

Recheck the 5th Character in the VIN.

The car came through with a CRUISE-O-MATIC

If that fifth character in the VIN is G then it had a 406 FE V8 but if it is a C then it was one of the new for mid 63 289 small block engines. This link will give the rest.

Looks like it was rangoon red with a red on red interior. The 63 1/2 fastbacks are quite popular no matter what engine it may have had. A good friend had a 64 fastback with a 289. He took it out and put a 390 in it.

Thanks to both of you. On further inspection the 5th digit was really a C , not a zero. So she is originally small block. I also had him send picture of the tag on the firewall , right side. There the 5th digit was much clearer , definitely a C.
Thanks again!
