Default crankshaft grinder

Looking for a recommendation for crank grinder in Northern Ca capable of putting a 1/8 stroke on a Merc crank. I'm near Chico.

If yiu can't find a local source then look no further than Henry Velasco at Velasco Crankshaft Service in Downey CA. 213-877-4212. There is none better than Henry.

Hope you're not in a hurry. Last I knew most of the crank grinders in SoCal are all pretty booked up. But I don't have specific knowledge about Velasco. Hope I'm wrong if you go that route.

I used Baily Brothers, in Vallejo, Ca.
About twenty years ago.
Did not do a stroker, though.

I did a simple quick search (crank grinder shop in Northern Calif.) and came up with at least 30 shops. The problem might be explaining to them what a flathead Merc is....

Cantact Mario, he is a highly experienced, offset crank grinder. He just did a .310 offset crank for me, last summer.

Tell him, Frank in Southern Oregon, sent you.
