Default Transmission conversion

I'm attempting to replace a non synchro 4 speed in a 51 F-1 with the light duty 3 speed topshifter, can I use the 4 speed rear trans rubber mount? It looks very similar to the rear trans mount on a 47 truck.

If you’re referring to the saddle shaped rear mount, the answer is yes…..as long as the truck is the F-1 half ton and not something bigger.

Great Its a half ton. Thanks for the info. I'm guessing a driveshaft out of a 47 open driveline should fit?

Yes if you can find one. You’d want to get the slip yoke too. Actually, the driveshaft from the 1948-52 F-1 would be the same.
