Default 1957 Monarch with a 312 - first startup and drive in years.

Last fall I bought this car at an auction after only seeing a few pictures of it. I bought it to give to my Dad, and this is the footage of how I managed to get the engine running and actually drove it around. I later gave the car to my Dad (video will follow soon) and he loved it and drove it home. It was exactly like his second car. He drove it off and on for a couple weeks, then we stored it away for the winter. Sadly, he passed away Feb 1st, on his 80th birthday.

I do plan on keeping the car and fixing it up over time in his honor. If it wasn't for him, I would not have the abilities and interests I have today.

I really enjoyed editing this particular video, especially knowing how my Dad loved the car later when we gave it to him. The next video will likely be hard for me to put together.

Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy this, and if you do, I would appreciate it if you subscribe to my channel, it would really help.

You know something? One thing I can't stand is somebody finding a time piece and then coming here to show and tell and rub everyone's nose in it ...

I'm just rattling your cage brother ...

Actually, I am just extremely jealous, that's all.

!!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!

Hope your dad enjoys!

The OEM ACL ASSY is shown below. That engine is a 1957 MERC 'SAFETY-SURGE' 312CI - 255HP.
