Default Steering Column Tube Removal

'39 Coupe. Is there clearance inside the cab on the coupe to remove the steering column tube? Assuming there is clearance, do I just need to unlock the ignition lock and loosen the clamp at the steering box (wheel and dash are already out). The car is at the paint shop so I need to know what tools i need to take with me and any complications I might run into.

You will need to take out the stearing gear to frame bolts.

You need to remove the bolt from the clamp, not just back it off.

Remove the horm button/rod, steering wheel, 2, 1/2" bolts that hold the column drop to the dash, the column to steering box clamp, and as suggested you may need to remove the steering box bolts. You may also need to remove the filister head screw that holds the column drop to the column, and disengage the steering shaft lock with key.
