Differences in rear axle radius rods
As I continue to work on rebuilding the rear axle, I noticed that the two radius rods are different. One has a forged fork that is welded to the radius rod; the other has what appears to be a stamped fork that seems to be pressed into the radius rod....
Can anyone enlighten me as to when these different parts were used ? I already know that the axle housings are from different years (28 and 29), but the radius rods may be, too. Since the car is a 1930, a prior owner must have done some major rear axle repair work. Thanks - Jim |

Re: Differences in rear axle radius rods
the forged ones was used tell around May of 30 then they went to the stamped ones through to the end of production.
