Happy Father's Day to all fathers out there. My father planted the "A" seed in my life and I'm very lucky that he is still here with me at age 87.

Re: Happy Fathers Day!
Below is a Father’s Day present to myself! Father’s Day cards and Amazon gift cards are nice, but a trip to Harbor Freight is nicer! I had to raise my workbench up a bit to fit it. The hardest part was getting the heavy beast off the back of my truck and down to my shop. Filling it with model A tools was fun!

Re: Happy Fathers Day!
Yesterday I brought my Model A to the San Francisco Bay Area Model A's club annual
ride day for the Senior's living at Saint Anne's Home run by the Little Sister's of the Poor. There were 9 cars that gave rides to 30 or so residents thru the Presidio in San Francisco. It was a beautiful 70 degree day and we had wonderful views of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. Some the passengers were close to 100 yrs. old and everyone had a wonderful time. Last year there was a 101 year old Nun that insisted on getting into the rumble seat as she had been in one when she was younger, smiles from ear to ear. Happy Fathers day, this day made mine.... |

Re: Happy Fathers Day!
Happy Fathers Day to all of you also. Just like was stated before my Dad planted the Model A seed in me. He passed 21 years ago and I have his Model A under restoration.

Re: Happy Fathers Day!
Model A Magic I wrote this some time ago, but it sure fits the Ford Barner's.
We all know that there is something about the Model A that continues to amaze us. We find the neatest Mom and Pop restaurants when we are driving around on the little roads and don’t have any idea where to eat. It happens every time. We expect it now. We are also blessed with good weather on our tours. We start out with a terrible forecast, and as soon and we get on the road, the sun comes out. Either we are the luckiest club in the world, or God sure likes Model A’s. I have come to realize another thing about Model A’s. They somehow get very nice people to own them. I was thinking about the many club members we have lost over the recent years. Each one of them was a super person. They would do anything for you, give you anything you might need, help you fix your car, and they were just good honest friendly people. A major loss for our club. Then I looked around at who was still with us, and realized that these people were the same kind of people we lost. The club is full of these wonderful people. It must be the car that draws this kind of people. I’m not saying that our club is any different from other clubs. Just look around your club. I’ll bet you are also surrounded by these nice people who would do anything for you. I have seen other car clubs and they are not the same. We have a lot of jerks in this world, but not many of them seem to own a Model A. Why is this? It’s not money or lack of it. Owners range from the very low income to mega bucks. It’s not education, or status, and it is not your background with the Model A. Sure, a lot of us had A’s when we were young, but the young guys and gals of today are also drawn to the A. Get a bunch of Model A’s together, and check out their owners, and you will have a bunch of very nice folks. Jack Bahm 2017 |

Re: Happy Fathers Day!
Here in the UK we have Fathers Day the same day as USA although I think our Mothers Day is a different day . I think I will check that out on Google. Anyway my two daughters and three sons all called me to tell me how much they loved their Dear Old Dad so that cant be bad . Maybe they want to borrow money !!! .Celebrated with a long country ride in my Budd cab pickup so all in all a good day .
