Have you seen?
So I am absolutely new to this forum and the model a. I purchased a 1928 model a last week and it has pull down shades on the back glass and the 2 side windows. It also has hand pulls that hang down for folks in the back seat with an arm rest. What model is this?

Re: Have you seen?
Welcome to the Ford Barn, there is lots of people that can answer you questions. If it is a town sedan witch that is what it sounds like, are the door window have a ark or are they more straight across the top of the window opening. If it is ark the town sedan was made by Murry and if there straight across they are a Briggs body. Do you know what year it is. If its a town sedan it also has what is called Cowl lights that come out of the cowl or below the gas tank. 28-29 have a signal stem coming out of the cowl. 30-31 the cowl light also comes out the cowl but the arm also has a leg that laps over a trim molding.

Re: Have you seen?
Welcome! From your description of "hand pulls" in the back seat, and from what I could best determine from the picture you submitted, it looks to me as though you have a 1929 Town Sedan. The single point garnish moldings under the window frames would establish this as a 1929. Similarly, the 1929 model year was the only year in which a rope cord and ball would have been used as a "hand pull" or grab handle in the back seat. Either way, it appears that you have found a nice original car well worth keeping and enjoying.

Re: Have you seen?
It is a 1929 Murray Town Sedan. All 1929-1930 Town sedans had shades on the back and quarter windows.

Re: Have you seen?
That's right. People want to SEE pictures but are so afraid of posting pictures themselves. I see lots of threads were there is a lot of 'blabla' about some parts ore issues but NEVER one picture. In my case (English is not my language) it would be very helpfull to see what someone's talking about.

Re: Have you seen?
Welcome Rparker, nice Town Sedan, make sure you check the wood out thoroughly as that is the support structure for the whole car. As for the goodies that came with the car they are cool. Looks like a really great pair of sun glasses, an original set of keys, and a defroster. Change the fluids, plugs etc., check the brakes and drive her.
