Thumbs up Did you forget about me after all these years ?

Was it 1967 or 1968 ?

You and your Dad found me sunk up to my axles .....

You were still in high school - Dad bought me for you to fix up ....

But - Life Happened

The Vietnam War, College, Marriage, Kids ......

You moved far away .....

Sometimes you would visit me in the garage behind
your parents' house in La Crosse, WI .....

But I was really never far from your thoughts ....

Was I ?

Time passed and you would take a fender back with you to New York
to work on when you visited ....

I was very patient

Then - one day the door opened ....

Your Mom & Dad were front and center posing for pictures

This man I had never seen before was walking around me
taking pictures and telling your parents how ' SPECIAL '
I was - how honored he was to be taking me back to be with you

A cable was fastened to my frame and I was gently rolled into another
smaller building - but this one had wheels under it !

Your brother was talking to you on the phone ....

Your Dad tipped his hat .....

And I was moving again .....

Good little picture/story, I missed out on a complete 25 coupe that had been in storage for 30 plus. I need a bigger garage.

I would have loved to bring that one back to life as well, good luck and post some updates. Scott

Coupe looks like it will make a nice car when completed.
I am not sure you are able to communicating with the car as if it were a person. Good luck with that
I just refer to my coupe as a "24 coupe" (yes I do have a running coupe and no, it does not talk to me)

Editor's Note ....

I have the absolute best job there is, I get to travel the country
and meet really nice folks and transport remarkable automobiles.

I had no idea what lay in store for me on this haul until I rolled
up the garage door in La Salle, Wisconsin.

Everyone in this family was a genuine pleasure to meet and talk
with - this particular story will be remembered as one of my favorite hauls.

It's been nearly 6 years. But the cover above the running board (valance?) has fallen off between loading & unloading.

Lightbulb The owner would have to chime in.

The missing piece was removed for safe transport.

The owner visits here infrequently - perhaps he can give an update ...
