Default 32 Model B - Fan Hits Upper Radiator Hose ??

I just started a new rebuilt B engine in my 32 pick-up. My water pump and two blade are all original Ford. The ends of the fan are just touching the underside of the upper radiator hose. How could correct this ? Thanks for any advice.

The B fan clears the upper hose by approximately 1/4". If you are hitting the hose, questions would center around the position of the radiator and any repairs made to the tank, correct spacers between the the radiator and the cross member. Correct engine mount cushions, too thin cushions would lower the engine and change the angle to the tank.

Dick thanks for replying. I bought the new mounting cushions from you. I have one rubber spacer under each side of the stock B radiator. Could you give me a little more detail info on the mounting. Pete

One thought...if you try to shove the hand-starting crank into place, it will show the alignment or lack thereof of several components instantly.
Use a couple feet of dowel or something if you lack that part...
The crank has to go through hole in grill into its bearing on spring clamp area, which it can't if radiaor is out of position, thence under radiator and into crank ratchet on engine---which will be out of reach if mount biscuits are wrong.

check and see if the front crankshaft center is 2 3/8" below the top edge of the frame rails. this is where it should be if the rear trans mount is flat against the "K" member.
i've seen v8's jacked up so high that the back of the engine is hitting the firewall.
"B" or v8 - don't matter which, that's where it has to be.

The rubber mounting pads, in some kits, are too thin. They should be at least 1/4" thick.

How about adjusting the radiator rod towards the cab?
