The defroster nob on my heater, from what i found is supposed to be a 39 40 because its just a plain nob were the replacement one available should be larger with DEF on it

The small trumpet shaped defroster knob in photo above would be correct for your 1941 Ford truck heater also...... I doubt if you will ever find any new or reproduced ones. Your only chance would be to get one off of an original heater.

pull knob for defroster is just a plain sort of white/light tan in color with no lettering could not answer the question about switch panels

Aside from searching for the correct mounting bracket for the heater switch, both heater cores that i have are bad.
All the local radiator shops have gone out of business so it is now search for a new one or find some one that can recore the one i have.

Question on heater, I have a 36 pu with a stock water heater and 8CA 53 merc motor and 8RT water pumps. The input to the water heater I use the top outlet in the pass side of the moter The outlet of the heater goes to the 8RT pas side water pump. This side of the motor takes a long time to come up to temp and runs cooler then the diver side. (20 to 30 degress) Should I take the water inlet to the oposite side Driver side as the input to the heater to balance the flow 36fordguy
