That's not gonna restrict the flow!

Give it a few wrappings of asbestos tape and it will be as good as new!

Free flowing and blowing! Mostly acorns from the critters is what I dug out. Amazing! Ralph

That looks like the $50 repro that Midas Muffler made for many years, with the pie plates for baffles. It is nice that Aries is now making a proper muffler that does not restrict flow like the pie plates did, and also runs cooler.

I remember the Midas add years ago, where the thrifty old New England gentleman would come in in his Model A for a muffler and would tell the guys "see you again boys" after they installed it. The Midas guy would tell the rookie that the muffler had a "warranty for the life of the car" and that the gentleman alway came in in his Model A for a free new one when it wore out.

Ah, the perfect teenager muffler! When you come to a downhill, just throw the spark lever up, close the GAV, and let off the gas! Back in high school, a classmate would brag that his buddy's Model A "would pop 40 times going down a hill". Fun times! Mine had a blown muffler too, so I sawed it off and turned the head pipe sideways so less fumes came up where the missing floorboards weren't! Carb was messed up so it ran too rich to backfire much.
