While it's not impossible, it's not likely that a modern day machine shop will have the tooling or the knowledge to do your motor. It's a niche trade, and we are lucky that we have specialist shops available. Take it to James, just my 2 cents. Good luck!

Thanks everyone.....I have not committed myself to anyone just yet. I have started to get the motor ready to pull......i.e....pull the exhaust.....take the radiator out to be cleaned and repaired......taking pictures of what is where and pulling parts off,Ralph
