Go back a couple pages and check out "Original Model A keys" 08-22-2023 and you will see e70 and his displays of model A keys. Eric and his father are involved in restoring Model A ignitions and door locks. Send Eric a a message with what you need.

I just went through this to get some spares made. I had the keys, old “Hurd” keys, one was cracked.

Most of the newer or box stores with the computerized copy machines are unable to make them. Had to find an old school lock shop with manual copy cutters, I had the blanks so it made it easy for them .

Dick Crabtree did mine; actually my door lock turned out to be a re-pop and Dick found me an original and keyed my rumble seat lock to match.

"Best" is not usually the cheapest but one way is find a lock shop that either has or can make blanks and then with a blank it is just a 3 minute job to cut the key.
If you do not have a sample to duplicate, the job gets complicated and expensive. It then involves taking the lock itself apart or imprinting it.
