Looking at the rear of the BP,turn theRH adjuster CW until a drag is felt then turn back slightly until wheel turns free.Turn LH adjuster CCW until drag is felt then back off slightly until wheel turns free.At least thats the way I remember it.

brakes sure do not sound like any '42-'48 Ford passenger/light truck brakes I have ever seen. Lower anchors have always been fixed pins with a retainer plate and cotter keys, not flat sided bolts and nuts as they describe. Just wondering. |

Re: '46/'48 passenger front brakes
On the 46-8 rear brakes, there is a washer and a wavey washer on the mounting pin for the E-brake actuating arm. In what location are the washer and the wavey washer? The pin goes through the back of the shoe what is the next item to install on the pin?

Re: '46/'48 passenger front brakes
I don't have my brake drum off to look and see but my recollection is that it goes between the brake shoe and the hand brake lever to keep them from rattling and banging together. That is also the location that makes the most sense. I don't know how it would really help anything anywhere else.
