Default Scat Crank

Looking to build a motor with this crank. My question, can someone tell me the stock measurement of main and rod caps? So many have been filed down. Gonna be a babbit motor. What is a acceptable cap measurement?

Well, I am assuming your block/rod is clean and all babbitt removed. Bolt a cap on, sans the shims and mic the bore in 90 degree intervals and compare readings.

FWIW, I have noticed that the Scat cranks, at least the "B" one runs about .001-.0015 larger than a Ford on the mains.

When you have the Babbit done, make sure to take the crank to whoever is doing the job for measurement.
