Flywheel housing question.
A flywheel housing I am looking for has been described as for a Model A truck. My question is would it be different than passenger car? If not I question whether it would be less prone to having the cracks that everyone so far I have looked at or bought seems to have.Thanks.

Re: Flywheel housing question.
The Standards mention in November 1931 a flywheel housing with four reinforcing ribs on the bottom was introduced for the Standrive and AA. I looked in the parts book, Service Bulletins and Service Letters and I don't see any mention of it. The later housings did have more reinforcement.

Re: Flywheel housing question.
Passenger and AA are the same. As Bob C mentioned, late '31 housings were re-enforced and tended to not crack as the earlier ones do.

Re: Flywheel housing question.
I have only had this Model A for less than 6 weeks and everyday I have learned something new. Looking at quite a few of the housings on Ebay and I do see a different type that has four ribs instead of three. This also explains why until today I wondered why a couple sold for more money than the others.Guess it is a the one to look for and I appreciate the heads up.
