wow, what a sequence of events....a Model A stalling leading to extended medical care.
best wishes for a quick recovery and keep us in the loop about the car...stalling issues are somewhat frequent here.

I went to the foot doctor this morning for the third time, and he told me that I don’t need to wear the boot anymore but suggested that I use heel risers in both of my shoes. What a relief this is, I thought it would take three whole months. I’m really happy, especially because I couldn’t drive with the boot on. Walking with the boot messed up both of my knees so I’m going to the knee doctor tomorrow to get steroid shots in both of them.

This weekend it’s supposed to get to the low 80’s in Burton, Texas so I may try to drive the Model A again. I think that the problem is with the gas cap as Bob Bidonde mentioned. The three holes inside the cap are free but there was a lot of hardened black gasket cement around the inside perimeter of the cap. I’ve cleaned it out and hope that solves the problem.

Thanks again for all your encouragement and help, Robert.

You can just leave the gas cap loose to test the theory.

I am happy to hear that you have recovered in the foot area. Hopefully the knees will have the same happy ending.
