Default Passing of Bob Williams

Fellow clubbers,
Sadly I report on the passing of Bob Williams. Truly a giant in the Model A world and a personal hero to many of us who attended the Williamsburg Model A Nationals. May Bob rest in peace.

To all Members of Colonial Virginia Model 'A' Ford Club,

Sally and I are saddened to report the passing of Bob Williams, our Club's "Mr. Model 'A' Ford". Bob died this morning at his home in Carrollton, Virginia.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed, but will be forwarded as soon as they are known; however, Mazie has requested the presence of Model 'A' Fords at the service. Details will follow.

Respectfully,

Jim and Sally Bostic

Wow, Colonial has lost a lot of members in the past year. The wife and I attended the National Tour a few years ago where I met my inspiration, Chuck Shaw. I am sure I must have met Mr. Williams as well. A tough run of passings for any club.

Chuck was in the GWC club here is Fairfax VA. He knew Bob. Chuck came to the National in Williamsburg in 2000 and liked what he saw with the Model Aers and joined in. Tough year for losses.

We are all going to miss the Sunday mornings at his garage where a bunch of us would hang out with Mr. Williams and mess around with Model As that need attention. Great loss to the Model A community.

Bob was a true gentleman and without doubt a great authority on Model A Fords. Bob shared his love for the "A" and was always willing to share his knowledge with others.

CVMAFC members will attend his funeral this Thursday driving our cars. Many of these Model A Fords are on the road due in great part to Bob's interest and assistance.

His passing has left a large void in our club. RIP Bob
