The clocks that come with the repo mirrors are trash. You can buy a small electronic clock to glue in their place but these are not much better and the batteries don't last very long.

I have had one of these mirrors for a long time, it came with my Sport Coupe. I assume the clock is a repro and is battery powered. The clock does not work. Does anyone know how to get the back cover off? I have pried on the cover but it refuses to budge. I was afraid to put any more pressure on it and break the glass. I have turned the knob and it does not act like a winder stem, but it will move the hands to set the time.
Thanks for any help

I have one of these repro mirror clocks. I is windup and seems to work fine. I don't drive my car everyday so everytime I do drive it I have to wind it. More time than not I don't bother. Looks neat tho.

I have an old reproduction wind up type clock mirror in my sedan. Works fine. All you have to do is wind it up. Originals are out out of sight with the current post COVID price boosting. If you are looking for an original, be patient. One will turn up for you at a reasonable price.

A&L Model A Parts used to make this reproduction clock-mirror and they were pretty decent. However, I don't think they make this any longer.
