1940 Ford Speedo Needle/Pointer Removal
I'm in the process of restoring the instrument panel from my 1940 3/4 ton pickup. How do I remove the speedometer needle/pointer so I can get the faceplate off?
Thank you in advance. |

It is simply pressed on to the shaft. However, I strongly advise against just prying it off. Rather, get a firm hold of the shaft with a needle nose plier and only then (gently) pry the needle off.
