Default 39 Delux Fordore center pillar upholstery question

I got around to a final assembly of the interior. Can somebody help me and tell how to attach the panels to center pillars (the ones that are between doors)? I see the old panels have short nails. But how to drive nails without damaging the fabric? I'm lost....

I am not up on fordors, but, if it's a similar setup to a coupe, the way it works is you drive in a small, practically headless nail through the fabric until it's flush with the board. You then gently rub the fabric to release the fabric from the nail. When done correctly, you won't see any marks in the fabric. Good luck.

When I parted out the 39 fordor, I removed the assist straps behind front seat on the pillars, this allowed all the fabric and the interior lights to come off together. I will search to see if I saved the picture of the straps. I know this don't answer your question 100% but the straps did help hold the fabric.
