Default new owner of a 31 ford

I am new to the site and have just purchased a 1931 Ford Model A two door sedan I stumbled upon one day. The car was parked in a garage and hasn't seen daylight in a few years. it is in remarkable shape. According to the seller, it was her husbands car and he would drive it daily up to the day he died. I have no idea what these cars are worth. I have a love for cars and own a few but have never owned anything this old. Could someone give me an idea on what they are worth. I would rate this a 6 on a scale of 10. looks nice, no visible rust and runs. The widow kept the car registered and insured all these years. As soon as I figure out how to download pics I will post them. Anyone on this site live in the High Desert?

Then it will be on a scale of 1-10 of unrestored cars, vs restored cars. A scale of six would be quite different in price of an unrestored Tudor vs. a 6 of a well restored Tudor.

Im sorry I wasn't clear. The owner restored the car prior to his death. Don't know how in depth it was because the widow is elderly and didn't know. All she could tell me is he liked to work on it and drove it almost everyday to work prior to retiring. the floor looks good and I couldn't locate any rust on the body except for a small amount on the rear fender. All fenders are steel. The interior is intact but dirty as well as the dash.

welcome to FB and good luck with your car.

you already purchased the car but have no idea of the value confuses me some.
usually people ask for an idea of value before the purchase
pics are a great help.

Don't pay attention to any of the numbers until you post some pictures. If you have already purchased the car contact a local model A club (see mafca.com and modelaford.org for local chapters) and get the opinion of someone that knows the car about its condition.

Unless you're planning to "flip" it (sell for a profit), don't even ask what they're worth. It was obviously worth it to you, and that's all that matters! Bravo to you for buying the Tudor, and hope you enjoy it. I'll almost certainly get flamed for this, however in my opinion, the Tudor is by far the most useful and comfortable of all the Model A body types.

Ditto.

At this point it looks like you want confirmation of getting a good deal, or paying too much, so you can pat yourself on the back, or kick yourself in the butt. LOL

That's fine and I've done the same thing, only to find out I paid too much for a couple things. In the end it really didn't matter though, because it was worth what I paid, or I wouldn't have purchased it. Sometimes you can't wait around to find the going price, because it will get sold out from under you.

Sure would like to see some pictures though, when you get a chance.

Tour car is a coup
with a trunk and not a rumble seat. It looks very good in the pictures on your profile. Have fun with it!!

The radiator shell looks to be 1930, and what I can see of the car, it looks very nice. Another plus is the fact that it still has the trunk.

Enjoy your new Coupe.

Nice looking car! The splash aprons appear to be one piece. So maybe it is a '31.
