Reminds me of walking through the old junkyards when I was a kid.

Yes, very interesting, but rough condition. This 52 Merc 2 door sold at $175.

I have to ask : Did it have a drivetrain?

The way the hood is, I would expect that the engine, at least is missing.

Most of them had drive trains. Not so much glass and interiors. Of course floor boards were mostly none existent. I looked under a lot hoods. There was a i think, a56 lincoln 2dr hdtp. Baby blue with a white roof that was pretty loaded. For being outside for decades was straight and fairly solid. I could vision marilyn monroe setting behind the wheel wearing a mink...

I thought I could see the fuel pump showing under the hood in that photo but its not easy to see. The hinges are worth a bit if they are not damaged beyond repair. A lot of damage on the rear quarters and tail light bezels. Lenses gone. I need the "R" off the hood but these are all gone. You can see multiple pictures of the cars following the link I posted to the auction but none show under the hood.
Still, its a Merc. I'd pay that price just for a lawn ornament if it was not too far to drag home.
