Default headlight wiring mess

This is what the headlight wiring looks like on our "new" '28 Coupe. Time to order a new switch and harness. Now only the LH headlight works, and only on high.

Mine looked like yours but worse. The harness to replace what you've shown is reasonable in price and pretty easy to replace. My horn worked so much better than with the old wiring.

I ripped the entire harness from my '30 Tudor this evening. Took about 10 ten minutes. What an ugly greasy dirty mess that was. Put the fuse block on the firewall in front of the steering column. I feel a bit more relaxed now. My biggest fear was the car spontaneously combusting under the carport.
