Will give it a try.
Part of the problem with the repo switches I disassembled is the plunger angle is wrong and the plunger stuck, or was resistant to being depressed. More a design issue. That is why I used OEM covers, and OEM plungers.
And when the paper fiber tip was worn the plunger would wedge.

So then I replaced the fiber tip with a modified piece of nylon bolt.
That way I also reduced bacon sales here in Brentwood.

I agree and have also had good results using a lube on the contacts.
I also agree with Bob that the angle on the repro covers is wrong and can cause sticking.
