Default Clayborne Engine Stand

I am thrilled to have found another Clayborne engine stand complete today and just an hour away. I have a question about the locking mechanism. That is the only part that is not in working condition and I am not sure how it should work. My other Clayborne has this mechanism completely missing and I just put a bolt in the hole to lock it. I would like to make them both work correctly. Any help much appreciated.

I looked online and there seem to a lot of models, for some reason I cannot enlarge the images. You may try to find one of the catalogs that would list the attachments. Seems they made them for everything in the day including agricultural equipment. Sorry not much actual help.

I have four of them . Only one has the lock mechanism located on the bottom of the large ring at the front. Just drop a screwdriver in the hole and your good to go.

That's a neat engine stand. Too bad it couldn't be used to mount an engine with the transmission attached. Neither can the KR Wilson, or I'd try to locate one to mount my project 60HP on as suggested by the museum.
