Default 46 Ford pickup

We have in the shop a Ford Pickup which is registered as a 1946.
Serial # 799c1420533.
Would that be 1947? Does it tell the type? 1/2 ton? 3/4 ton?
Thanks for any help
John

In 46 & 47,

1/2 ton was a Commercial pickup
1ton was an Express pickup
1.5 tons were flatbeds, dumps, etc
no 3/4 tons in 46 7 47
