Hard to imagine that much snow at one time. That's about what we get for a year.

Living in Western NY...we deal with it. Not really a big deal any more as long as folks prepare properly.
I also was in the blizzard of 77. In my opinion that was much worse. Conditions lasted a full week. Much colder, single digits temps, way stronger winds. Poor prep , local leadership
I was still working in Buffalo. Got stuck at the Holiday inn. They ran out of cheep food, so I had to eat steaks, while my wife was stuck at home with 2 toddlers...Yea I know!!

Inside now having a hot tea/brandy.... like I said we deal with it

I will for sure pass on you kind words to Charlie....as soon as the driving ban is lifted

We are approx. 25 west miles from Erie, PA. The winter of 1977 we didn't have school for two weeks. I enlisted in the USAF to get away from the harsh Lake Erie winters. Spent most of the next winter at the Fire school at Chanute AFB in Illinois. They had one of the worst winters in 20 years and we marched a mile each way to the school. Went to North Carolina for a year. Then to Shemya Alaska at the tail end of the Aleutian Islands. Then back to Chanute as an Instructor. So maybe that didn't work out really well.

Sorry, but I actually caught myself laughing out loud sitting alone at my laptop.

GB, I should have told the USAF I wanted to go somewhere really cold like Minot North Dakota. They would've sent me to Hawaii!
