Condition, condition, condition will set the price. Pictures would help.

Photos? Very difficult to answer without more facts. Condition of body; damage, paint, rust in floor, etc. Condition of upholstery if any; original, old replacement, rips/tears, headliner, door panels, etc. As you can see there are many unanswered questions. I see no reason to give you a value unless there are more facts. This is like asking us to evaluate your daughter to see if she is good enough to be Miss America without seeing her photo.

Without pics or a real good description its pure guessing.
An original paint and and interior with little to no rust does more to the value then a stuck engine and non working breaks.
Take some good pics and you will get a pretty accurate number from the pros around here.

All that info means absolutely NOTHING until you set eyes on it.

Most of us here have been into cars for years if not decades, and we've all heard the story of th car with no rust that ends up being a pile of iron oxide dust.

If you want a reasonable, usable answer, you MUST provide as much detail as possible, otherwise you will get wildass guesses that help no one.

The worst rust in my opinion is the kind between two spot welded seams and may not be even holes, YET. You know it's there because the metal is bulged out between the spot welds. Then both pieces of metal have to be removed and replaced to get it right. Happens a lot at the rear wheel wells, lower front cowl and at the lower sill under the doors on 33-34s. Floor board seams also.

The problem is that a 34 ford coupe could range between a beautifully restored concourse winner and a gutted out roached body sitting on a twisted frame. Rest assured though, a 1934 ford 3 window coupe is "up there" as far as values go. Everyone has their favourites, but a lot of people value the 34s very highly. Only a 32 would probably fetch more.

The more original the better, the more complete the better. the less rusty the better.

It is impossible to value the car on the description given. More info and pictures would be needed before even a stab in the dark could be made.

Mart.

As it stands, this is about as good as "it ran when it was parked" . . . right!

The guy wants an approximate value. Totally stock, complete, $50,000 would be a good starting point.

I have a 34 3 window barn find and I paid alot for it you just can not find these cars anymore. there was a rusty basket case here on the barn a few months back and it sold for 25k. I would think a complete car in good restorable condition even would be 40-45k.

But if it requires $30k of work to put it in that condition, then its only worth $15k-$20k

Goes back to condition condition condition.

about 2 years ago a barn fresh 3w at a dealer in western mn. brought 54k. that came not running, 4 rotten tires, broken glass, rough interior, worn black and primer for the most part but some rust too. the only better one was in texas, better overall but not mint, 74k. even a bad bare body will bring 20k, and good bodys over 30. best one at the florida auction, 27k , dead motor, no interior, rotten tires, banged up fenders, no glass, just last spring

A lot of the guys who ran the old coupes on the roundy roundy tracks back in the day probably wished they hadn't beat the old things to death but back then they were just an old car that could be had for a little money. So many of them ended up this way that the good ones are hard to find now days. It is what it is. Good things come along and then they go away. Even if some company reproduces a whole bunch of them, they will still be high dollar.

Nothing against your dad, but I never bought into this kind of thinking.

How on earth are you going to find out the price if you don't ask?

Even wealthy people have to ask the price.

I would be hesitant to throw that price, or any other, out there without a few pictures. Once the owner has that price in the back of his head it will take a year to convince him that it is too high (if it is).

yes, an awful lot of them were wrecked on the race tracks, but they only made 27,000 3ws in 34, i believe they have always been hard to find.
