Can someone tell me how many screws originally held the sill plate in the door of a 32 Roadster?

Five! Not sure if this roadster is correct but I think it is.

Given that the sill plates in the photo are not "correct" in the sense of originality, there's a chance that the number of screws is also not correct, but as it turns out, five is the correct number of pan head sheet metal screws as shown below.
