Actually we have to use the gas/fuel sold at the event. For our combination we use gas for the fuel record also. The vendor on the salt sells VP brand race gas I use their C-16 which is 118 octane its $17.00 a gallon in three miles the engine burns one gallon. To run the 19 miles and including running the engine for a tune we used 7 gallons of race gas. Certainly NOT an economy combination. Some will ask how heavy is the car its over 3000 pounds race ready including driver wearing all the required safety gear. Thats all the secrets I can give away at this point

Ron has done well, he's increase the evolution of the Flathead. Like others from the past, he;s set the bar alittle higher.
Well don Ron

If I knew 1/2 of what you've forgotten about flatheads I'd die a happy man. Congrats to all you have accomplished.

Sid the event takes place at the retired Loring air base located in Limestone Maine. It begins on Wednesday September 2nd and runs till Saturday the 5th. Wednesday will be tech only the first runs will take place on Thursday and continue till Saturday. Due to the Virus issues there limiting the amount of spectators if you go tell them your with our race team supporting flatheads.

Heres a video of cars leaving the line our car flathead powered is at the 4:14 time frame. Leaving the line we were still having issues on this run but you can get a feel for what its like speed on this pass was 184 turn up the volume. Many of Johns videos of Speedweek are outstanding.
