Default 40 Ford installing sun visors

I have a 40 Ford deluxe coupe that was upholstered about 20 plus years ago. At that time they did not reinstall the sun visors inside the car. I recently purchased new sunvisor hardware to install. My Problem is how do I find the holes to fasten the hardware being they are covered by the existing headliner, which is suspended over the area of where the holes should be.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. Gary Mc in Oregon

There should be 3 holes under that cloth. Espacialy on the driver side. The std. didn't have a visor on the passanger side but there are 3 dimples on the metal where they go. It's probably hard to feel those dimples with the cloth over them. Walt
