Default Radio added to my 50 F1

Found this last week for my 1950 F1 truck, It fitt just like a glove no cutting this or that. Looks great also

I think the Radio is the same is a 49 Merc

I was thinkin the same thing, On the back its stamped Ford, maybe the face plate was changed ¿

Yes, it's a 49 Merc radio. I did the same, except I painted the bezel beige like the rest of the plastic and used the knobs from a 46-48 Ford car radio. They are the closest you will find unless you find a set from a truck.

Forgot to mention, I hope you put the speaker in first, as you'll never get it in with stock truck brackets on the radio afterwards. Ask me how I know.........

Looks 'ansome right there. Would like a period wireless for my '42 pickup.
Maybe a universal under dash type is best for me.
