Default towncar

not mine but for sale by a well known reseller............
on MAFCA site

1929 Town Car - Aug 19, 2017
One of only 19 known to exist. Restored in the late 80's and still in excellent condition. Included in a 1987 issue of the "Restorer" that featured the known town cars at that time. Spent a portion of it's life in an auto museum in CA. Black and maroon with gold pin striping; twin sidemounts. Photos available upon request. Serious inquires please.
Asking $125,000.

You think there's REALLY someone who would pay $125,000.00 for it?
I could "buy" me a NEW Wife, for less than that!

The mirrors look right and they would be almost impossible to find.

I think the item in question is the top hinges of the front doors. They are unique to the town car, and the conversation was that the car in question had upper hinges like a fordor, not a town car.

Should have a plated cowl band, maybe it's just the picture, but I don't see one.

Gold striping sure looks wide to me. We saw a few in Reno in 1998, some quite lovely vehicles and some a bit used up.

Town cars didn't sell well when new. I've read that dealers sold some into taxi service just to get rid of them - no doubt those led a hard life.
