Default Mercury September Sundown

After a month sitting in the shed (I've been busy with harvest) I finally got the Merc out for some exercise today. I needed my "flathead fix) after all this time. It started up good with a little priming of the carburetor and pressurizing of the fuel tank to fill the sediment bowl. Naturally I had to take a few pictures of the Merc with the sunset as a background.

Its true. I can't resist our sky/sunset views that make a perfect background for more Mercury photos.

Thanks for sharing that Ralph. When I was driving tractor trailer OTR my very favorite, number one thing, about the job, was being able see the sky and its infinite changing moods. Thank you for jarring my memory.

You've got the terrain for sunset shots. That's the wide open spaces for sure!...... Mark

You bet! In this farming business we learn early to always keep an eye on the sky and know which way the wind is blowing. I prefer that to staring down at a phone or device and missing out on the "real world" scenery.

Ralph: I always enjoy your postcard moments, and your videos also, especially the drone.

Montana was always called big sky country but Ralph's farm is a part of that neck of the woods. Just a wee bit farther north.

Stay tuned then. I'm hoping to do a run down the winding trail of the hundred acre woods with the Merc and the drone following along. Just waiting for the fall colours to get better on the leaves.

I think anybody that has not been up in Ralph's part of the world is missing something. The sky is absolutely beautiful, seems like you can see forever. And like Ralph said, you don't need to check for weather as you can see it coming hours away.
