Are door and trunk lock keys the same?
On a 31A are the door and trunk locks keyed to use the same key?

Yes
When new from the factory, popout, door and trunk are all the same |

Re: Are door and trunk lock keys the same?
Sorry to correct you but the door and trunk lock were keyed the same. The popout ignition key was different.

Restoration and judging guidelines state;
"After March 1931 all vehicle's used the same key for all locks including the spare tire lock."

Re: Are door and trunk lock keys the same?
Thank you guys. Now, does anyone know where I can send my trunk lock (handle) to get a key made? Kurt in NJ I'm hoping you can help me locally.
I have the original door and trunk handles in my car and an aftermarket key ignition (Still requires the second step of a remote push botton to start). The guy who restored the car lost the locks key. I know I can buy repro handle locks, but what fun is that when you have originals in good shape. |
