Front motor mount off center
The front motor mount on my 29 CCPU is off center and is rubbing against one side of the hole in the front cross member. I believe this is a causing unusual vibration. Any suggestions on how I can center the motor?

Tried that. The motor sets level, just points too far right.

Best check the frame to be sure it isn't bent.

Re: Front motor mount off center
I had the same problem after replacing the (missing?) springs. I tried to lever the engine into position but that didn't work and risked damaging bodywork. Here's what worked for me. Make sure the castle nut is not too tight. It should only be tight enough to insert the cotter pin . Drive the car and take some sharp turns in the direction needed-- i. e. Right turn if you want the engine to shift left; and left turn if you want it to shift right. After a couple of sharp turns it popped into the hole. Give it a try, it might work for you.

Loosen the front and the 4 rear motor mount bolts and use
The crank handle to straighten the engine |

Re: Front motor mount off center
I like to use the bronze bushing that fits in front crossmember . Loosen rear mounts where they attach to frame, inspect or replace rubber pads, line up front, retighten rear bolts. This has worked for me there is some wiggle room with rear mounts but not much.
