Looks most likely '32-'38 pickup hood sides.
Same place the blue oval one goes ($66 ?)

Seem to recall seeing them many years ago somewhere and as I recall they were one of the many items that were available to personalize your vehicle.
If you like them, use them.

Regarding MikeinMass question about the Identity of the Ford V8 Badge, they were standard equipment on the Australian Mainline Utilities, as you can see on the Tail Gate of this lovely 1954 Ford Mainline Utility. They were Flathead V8 Powered.
I don't know what vehicles they were fitted to in the USA? Hope that this helps.

Here is a picture of the Tail Gate on an Australian 1953 Ford Mainline Utility.
Notice that it has the same FORD-V8 Badge as MikeinMass was asking about.

Is there a part number on the back ? That should answer any questions.

Doesn't appear to be any on either one.

Here is that Badge again, this time on a 1956 Ford Mainline Utility.
It appears that they were originally fitted to all Australian Mainline Utes up to and including the 1957 model.

I think I took that picture. It's at the V-8 Foundation Museum in Auburn IN. Trevor donated the display he's pointing towards so he'll be able to school us on it.

Here's the next shot.

Marine Conversion - Unfortunately, I know little about it. It was in with a bunch of Flathead Parts that I bought. It was of no use to me, and I thought that the Early Ford V8 Foundation Museum would like them for their ongoing collection.
