1926/1927 Model T Running Boards
I'm working on a 1926 Model T Touring, I Have two sets of running boards and was checking them out for the best set to use on the car when I noticed that the Ford Logo on one set is a different size than the other set. I have tried to find information on the difference but can't find anything. Has anyone run into this ? and why did Ford change the Logo ? any information would be appreciated. Thanks: Jerry

Re: 1926/1927 Model T Running Boards
I ran into the same thing restoring my 26 coupe. Mine is an early 26, manufactured in late 25 and had the smaller script with Ford on top, and Made in USA underneath. Later boards had the larger Ford scipt with a different arrangment for the Made in USA (I think it was all on one line, if I recall correctly). I have no idea why the change was made, but have found that the first variety I mention above was used on the early 26 cars up until some point in manufacture.
