1957 T86/R10 slip yoke
Does anyone know what years and applications will interchange with the slip yoke for a T86/R10 overdrive from a '57 Ford? Mine came without one and I'm nearing the point where I'll need it to have a drive shaft made.
There is a fella selling a regular three-speed yoke in the HAMB classifieds that I'll probably buy if it will interchange. |

How many external splines are on the transmission output shaft; 16, 28 or 31

Re: 1957 T86/R10 slip yoke
28 Spline with Spicer type ( snap rings on outside of yoke ) are the most common yoke used on Ford pass cars from Comets to Edsel Mustang, Fairlane
Galaxie etc from 1957 thru at least 1973 with all transmissions. Even Chev cars and trucks 1955 to 1964 used them. |
