It Runs!
I heard my `51 F1 run for the first time last evening. I could not believe how easy it started. Using all of my learned Fordbarn knowledge I primed the oil pump by squirting engine oil down the oil pressure port. Turned the engine over with the spark plugs removed until I had 20 pounds oil pressure showing. We put the plugs back in, hit the starter button and it started on the first power stroke! Honestly! The three of us were dumbfounded! My wife had pulled a chair up to watch my son and I try to make this truck run and the show was over within minutes. It sat there and clucked with 60 pounds oil pressure like it had never been apart. I guess everything was primed and ready to go. I had purchased a rebuilt 7RT carb off eBay that had been rebuilt and tested, it was perfect! I didn't have to touch it. I am a happy camper on this transformation from a six cylinder to a flathead V-8 engine...

Re: It Runs!
Great to hear how easy it was to crank and how it runs. Good Show.

Re: It Runs!
You might consider making the idle mixture adjustments anyway.
