where the steering wheel wires go?
When my 29 Fordor came to me, all the wires coming from the steering column were disconnected. I can tell which ones will go to the lights. There's a black wire that's just hanging there. Can anyone tell me where it goes? I don't see how the power gets to the steering column wires.

Re: where the steering wheel wires go?
There should not be a black wire. The. Yellow wire that attaches to the generator cutout supplies the power.

Re: where the steering wheel wires go?
The black wire is for the tail light.

I agree with Steve. There shouldn’t be a black wire.

I know of some that tie into this same black wire for their dash light so it is on when the lights are on.

Re: where the steering wheel wires go?
And I agree with Ruth. The black wire goes on the 3-contact post, opposite the generator (yellow)/brake (green) 3-contact post, to the taillight(s). The single contact posts go to park, bright, and dim, respectively. That drawing shows this very clearly.
