Default 1930 Model A Ford horn switch repair

I was searching the Ford Barn for how to repair the steering-wheel horn switch on a 1930-31 Model A Ford.

I found a helpful blog post from 2006 on the subject and wanted to help the Ford Barn community by linking to it here. As you never know when these old blogs will be shut down, I copied the information from the blog to a public Google document.

Here's the link:

When I repaired the horn button section of the horn/light switch control rod, the 4 tabs had been straightened and rebent previously so they broke off for me. I couldn't find that piece available separately so I just soldered the 4 points to keep it together.
