Default Body to sheet metal anti-squeak

Working on a Victoria Body, did all body to metal surfaces get the anti squeak tape as shown in ths picture? This is the only location I have found the material thus far.
Since the wood and sheetmetal are in good condtion and I don't plan to remove the sheetmetal from the wood frame, are there any other sucessful ways of reducing squeaks?

When we took my son's vicky apart we found the tape everywhere there was metal to metal.
