Default Shipping a Ford/Heyer test set

I am looking at buying a 1938 Ford Laboratory Test Set in Wisconsin and need advise on an economical way to get it transported from there to Paramount CA for shipping on to me here in New Zealand. I am in no urgent hurry just can't justify spending a lot of $ on transport, or if anybody has, or knows of a test set for sale closer to CA that might be a better option for me cost wise.

I’d check with Fastenal. Strap it to a pallet.

Thanks Ken,

I checked their website but it tells me that they don't ship between east and west zones

All I can tell you is get some one to build a box for it then strap that to the pallet.

I looked at buying one and shipping to New Zealand and found I just couldn't justify the shipping cost . Probably the easiest way is to ship in the back of someones car container. Maybe worth talking to some one like Kiwishipping -

I already have a shipping agent in place with whom I regularly ship items that can't be posted. I will NOT EVER use Kiwishipping again. Thanks,

I have wanted that "same" machine, was even offered it at a lower than advertised price. Even here in the states, the distance I am from it AND the "potential" issues and cost of shipping it motor freight has kept me from buying it and Unfortunately I don't foresee myself heading anywhere near where it is anytime in the near OR distant future

Where is it? I am coming from Northern Minnesota to Marathon next fall. If it's on my route and will fit in the back of a KIA Soul with the seat down, it might work. (It's surprisingly big back there.)

My daughter lives in Madison Wisconsin and I did two trips from Tucson recently. (Ram 2500 with a SnugTop) Had another coming up in June but that is on hold because of a pending surgery. Might not be until Sept?

Thank you very much for the offer.....It seems as if "Meric42" already has a deal made and don't want to step on his toes.....ALSO that is a lot to work with and expect you to handle with your Kia.....I really appreciate it though!!!!
