Default '48 F1 steering arm balls

Howdy boys, I am in the process of restoring my grandfather's '48 F1, and I was wondering if the steering arm balls are the same as Model A? I want to weld on the new ones if they are. Looks to me like they are, but, I want your professional opinion! Thanks guys, many more questions to come.

Don’t know on the model A comparison. Took a caliper to my worn original and the replacement ball…… but I’m at work right now and no access to those figures.

Mine was noticeably ovalized..... 0.863" was the minimum dimension.
A new ball is 0.989"
