A rainey night in Olga

I made this video tonight in my shop. I don't really understand how to post them, but I have done a dozen or so by trial and error on youtube. This video was like 3 minutes plus. I sent it from my Iphone to my email and from there I downloaded it. The email had cut about 30 seconds off the end because it was too long. I went to youtube and downloaded it from my 'downloads'. It's a pretty fun video (to me anyhow) but I can't get the whole thing on and the way it's chopped off at the end kind of spoils it. Am I going about this wrong? For instance, all the photos I post on the barn I send from phone to desktop and pick them up from there to post on barn. Keep in mind I LOVE old stuff like hit and miss engines and of course the fords but have no real interest in the new technology but really fun to share, and I get that.

Edit: I sent the original Iphone video to my kids by text and they got the whole 3:43 so it is intact somewhere. I know it's lame , but I spent some time getting the video to end at the same time as the song....only seemed right.

Hello GB.
I connect my phone to my computer via USB. The phone has to be turned on and unlocked (if you have to unlock yours)
The phone appears as an external drive.
Then just copy the files from the phone to the computer and in my case I edit them and produce a new file, which gets sent to youtube.

Any help?

Gary, that's a great video....however you posted it!! Yes, you have a fine collection of flathead stuff...enough to keep you in projects for quite a while!

I like the shop tour and the music! Thanks for taking the time to shoot this and post it. I dont seem to have fast enough service to do much of this work. Shows nice progress on your new project! And gives us non jailbar guys a glimpse into your world.

Thanks Mart, Sounds wery direct and easy I will give it a try. When I did all my photos with a cannon camera, I did just that... Hook to my computer with a USB cord. And thanks to all you 'barners for the nice comments!

So, Mart and others, I connected my phone with USB and the window came up and showed a connection and the phone was a 'device'. But I have no idea how to copy frm my phone and paste onto the computer. I have tried many ways to put the video on my desktop or downloads or the 'cloud' with no luck. After re-reading your post I think I need to know about the copy thing. Like right click stuff?

On mine I do this.

I connect the phone and turn it on.

It asks me what I want to do with the usb connection and I select "File Transfer".

(yours might vary)

I can then see the phone on my computer.



I then click on Internal shared storage.
Then I click on DCIM



I then click on Camera



I can then see the video file(s) and can then drag them to an appropriate folder on my computer.



I then go to youtube and can send the file from my computer.

I imagine you can do it direct from the phone but have never done that. I always edit my stuff first so it has to be on the computer first.

Hope this helps. Your folder names and locations may be different.
