Default 1949 ford trunk latch(help)

Have a real nice trunk latch that dosn't work. Does anyone have a picture of the inards. It seems to be missing a spring that holds the key lock mech. I've had it apart a couple of times and can get it to work with the key. It just won't stay working, seems to be missing a small part that hold the square part that slides back and forth with the key. Thanks Mike

If your latch mechanism is like this, there should be a spring that is similar to this in it.

Whatever is wrong is in the handle. the latch and connecting piece seem to work fine. Will try SBC.
